D365 Sales / Business Central - Order integration failures

I've been going through initial implementations and preparing for go-live... all testing had been done in my DEV / UAT environments and in preparing for go-live, we refreshed PROD environments down to our DEV / UAT environments to initiate final testing. We discovered issue with our D365 Sales / Business Central sales order integration that did not previously exist (albeit, we obviously hadn't testing in PROD, only maintained its gold configuration state).

Orders fail to synchronize to Business Central with error "There are no field mapping rows for the Integration Table Mapping Name 052446F3A208465B8AE2 in the Integration Field Mapping table." - previously, I believe the error actually mentioned "CRM salesorderdetail" as the affected entity, but after trying to reinstall integration solutions and reconfigure its now throwing that random string in the error.

I've tried a complete reconfiguration of both the Dataverse Integration and the D365 Sales Integration within BC... more or less the steps identified here Upgrading an Integration with Dynamics 365 Sales - Business Central | Microsoft Learn.

I noticed that within my D365 Sales Integration configuration, both "Bidirectional Synch of Sales Orders" and "Enable Legacy Sales Order Integration" are enabled and cannot be disabled - i.e. described here Integrating with Dynamics 365 Sales - Business Central | Microsoft Learn this should not be the case. I've tried using the assisted setup wizard and enabling "Advanced" which gives you access to these options, but both are enabled and cannot be toggled (forced on). When I review the integration mappings, the sales order (header) is configured "ToIntegrationTable".

I have the same question (0)

I notice that the responders did not actually answer your question, they just provided setup information.  Did you resolve this problem?  I have the same problem, which had existed for several years, but now I need to address it as we now need to turn the legacy setting off.

    Hello,

Your issue means the Sales Order mapping between Business Central and D365 Sales got corrupted after the refresh — the ID it’s looking for no longer exists.
    Fix:
    Open Integration Table Mappings.
Restore default mappings for Sales Order and Sales Order Line (Use Default Synchronization Setup).
    Verify field mappings exist.
Then re-run Full Synchronization in the Sales Integration Setup.
That rebuilds the missing mapping and fixes the error.

D365 Sales / Business Central - Order integration failures

    Hi,

    The error:

"There are no field mapping rows for the Integration Table Mapping Name 052446F3A208465B8AE2 in the Integration Field Mapping table"

suggests that the integration table mapping record exists, but its associated field mappings were lost or not reinitialized during your environment refresh or reconfiguration.

    Here’s how to resolve it:

    • Go to the Integration Table Mappings page in Business Central. Locate the mapping with the ID 052446F3A208465B8AE2 (or the one linked to salesorderdetail if you can identify it by name).
    • Open the Integration Field Mapping page for that table. If it’s empty, you’ll need to recreate the field mappings manually or use the “Use Default Synchronization Setup” action to restore standard mappings.
    • If the mapping was custom or extended, you’ll need to reapply those custom field mappings using the “New Field Mapping” action. Make sure each Business Central field is correctly linked to its Dataverse counterpart.
    • The issue with “Bidirectional Synch of Sales Orders” and “Enable Legacy Sales Order Integration” being forced on is likely due to the assisted setup wizard applying default settings. These toggles are locked when the integration is initialized with legacy mode or when the connector version enforces compatibility.
    • To reset these toggles, you may need to:
      • Remove the integration setup completely
      • Clear related records in tables 5335 Integration Table Mapping and 5336 Integration Field Mapping
      • Re-run the assisted setup with Advanced mode, selecting only the modern integration options

Best practice after a PROD-to-DEV refresh:

    • Always reinitialize integration mappings using the Create new integration mappings wizard
    • Validate that all required Dataverse tables (e.g., salesorder, salesorderdetail) are present and mapped
    • Confirm that proxy tables are correctly generated and published in AL
    • Use telemetry or job queue logs to trace failed sync attempts and confirm mapping IDs
