You do not have the following permissions on TableData "Tablename" to modify or insert.

I have added the custom field in cust. ledger entry table and I want to update that file based on the process I'm working on,

When I try to update the value in the field I'm getting this error

"You do not have the following permissions on TableData Cust. Ledger Entry: modify. To view details about your permissions, see the Effective Permissions page. To report a problem, refer to the following server session ID: '449'."

I'm using on-premise, in the permission set I'm seeing that I can only modify or insert it indirectly I have no idea what it means.

    Hi

    if you are using e.g. a COdeunit or another object to change the value of the cust. ledger entry field, you must add permissions on the object

    this is because the cust. ledger entry is a history table.
