Issue with Fixed Assets

There is an Issue with the Fixed Assets(FA) Module

I did a capital Receiving and added a Fixed Asset in the fixed Assets module.

then i went to the SOP and it was able to sell the same item and if you go back to the Fixed Assets , you will still see that my Asset is still there in Same QTY.

Shouldn't the system restrict me from selling this item from the SOP after it became FA. The only way i should be able to see is from the FA module - through asset disposal.

    I agree with Leslie - only if the item was received into inventory should you be able to add it to a SOP document.  If that is the case, then the original PO probably should have been setup differently.  Do you capitalize items that you also receive into inventory?

    Hi,

    There is no connection between SOP and FA but there is connection between POP and PM and FA.

    Hi,

    If you used an item number and put it in inventory, I believe you will be able to sell it. It is my understanding that the IV module and the FA module are not linked together in the way you are expecting. I would like it to be connected, like you.
