Rounding Precision must be greater than 0. in Item No.='1262'

Hi,

We are getting a rounding precision error for an item in our Business Central instance. we are unable to add any new items.  This is very strange as the item number that we are being informed of does not exist.

Not sure how to fix this and any advice would be grateful.

I have the same question (0)

This comes from the latest upgrade,

    https://yzhums.com/17771/

As a workaround create a new item template without UOM, and use it to create items

    Hi,

We're seeing the same issue in both our live and sandbox systems. In our case the item number that is displayed is the next number that would be created from the template, so our message reads:

" Rounding Precision must be greater than 0. in Item No.='ENTER_HERE_0015'. "

Nothing has changed on our end as far as I'm aware, so I'm presuming this is a bug in the application...

Hi Samantha, Thanks for the useful background.

This appears to work in our instance. A note for anyone else looking at this - we had to create a brand new item template, taking the UOM off an existing template wasn't enough to make it work again.

There is a field rounding method on the item template table (table 1382), this one is not visible on the page. But if you fill in this field via the configuration package for all item templates you already have created you can use your existing item templates and still use a standard UOM on the item template.

We have been facing the same issue for a couple of hours now and it seems to be a bug in the application itself

    Simple resolution approach

If you create an identical item template and delete the old one everything seems to be working just fine also when using a default UOM.

Ingrid van Dam I agree with your answer, but i guess you mean the field 'Rounding Precision' on the 'Item templ.' (1382) table. This field has an init value of 1, that's why it's not updated for existing templates. Exporting it via configuration packages did the trick for us too.

We have the same problem. And we are using hundreds of item templates. Not possible to recreate easily.

Can you explain how to change that value on the 1382 table please? Isn't the init value 0 ?

norman-elo You can use configuration packages for exporting table 1382 to Excel. In the exported Excel sheet, set the 'Rounding Precision' field for every row to a value between 0 and 1 and import the Excel sheet in the same configuration package. Apply the package to set the data, and after that you can create new items based on your templates. The error will be gone.

A support case is created to MS. so it will go back to as working befor
