    Hello,

If you configure the NST with NavUserPassword authentication, are you able to connect to it without issue?

    Thanks.

    Thank you for your answer.

Yes, it works in either Windows authentication mode or Usernavpassword.
I made a ticket to MS which confirmed that AAD authentication only works for BC instances in the cloud.

It's a shame when you have a BC onprem with AAD authentication method, having to create a second instance (usernavpassword or windows) for development interaction.

    thanks again,

    Hello,

That is not entirely true from technical perspective. You can switch the NST authentication to NavUserPassword and use it for Visual Studio Code. WebClient instance for your users can still be configured with AccessControlService.

Only one account needs to have a NavUserPassword so you can use it for your development practice.

We recommend though to do your development on either a Sandbox or a Dockers environment and not in productive environments.

    Thanks.

    Hello Marco,

As far as I can see there is also a bug in Dynamics not binding the certificate to the port if you enable SSL (BC18 and BC19).

I use the following PowerShell command to fix this:

    $Thumbprint = "xxxxxxx"

    $AppId = "{00112233-4455-6677-8899-aabbccddeeff}"

    $Port = yyyy

    netsh http add sslcert ipport=0.0.0.0:$Port certhash=$Thumbprint appid=$AppId

After restarting the NST it seems to work fine.

    With kind regards,

    Alexander
