Dear Team,

We have installed CRM 2016 on premise and our company Sales People are using the system.

And now we are planning to upgrade from CRM 2016 to Dynamics 365 On premise and use mobile app for CRM.

So i want to confirm the below questions for the above points.

1. Do we need to purchase Dynamics 365 On premise licenses or CRM 2016 licenses will work if we can upgrade from CRM 2016 to Dynamics 365?

2. If we upgrade from CRM 2016 to Dynamics 365 On premise and configure IFD then can we access CRM in the latest Dynamics 365 APP from Mobiles?

Can anybody please suggest on these things.

    Yes as far as I know you can use latest version mobile app with 8.2.

    Dear Goutam,

    But if we upgrage then the version will become Version 1612 (8.2.0.749) (DB 8.2.0.749) on-premises and using this version can we able to access from latest Dynamics 365 App.

    Hi Venkata,

    1.For inplace upgrade It is necessary to obtain the Dynamics 365 product key before upgrading your CRM server as you will be required to insert it during the upgrade.

    2. You need to do additional configuration like enabling entity ,forms etc .. for mobile  to see the entity in the mobile app.
