Android app stuck on connecting

Hi there,

one of our customers is switching to BC 190 and we are currently trying to connect his Android devices via the "Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central" app. The web service has a certificate attached and can be accessed via servername/webserver_instance from any Workstation in the company. The mobile Chrome browser on the android devices can connect to the web service as well.

The only connection that is NOT working ist the Business Central android app. I choose a local connection, enter the URL and get a prompt for username and password. I enter those and continue. The credentials are accepted and the app is displaying a white screen with the Business Central icon in the center. That's it, nothing more is happening. It is stuck infinitely.

The android devices are running on 7.1.1 and the Business Central app is the current version 3.3.8201 from the play store.

Has anyone encountered this problem before? Is there anything we can do? Is there some kind of log?
This is basically a showstopper for our customer and we are kind of desperate right now.

I am unable to reply to this thread, I have to edit my response in here,

Thanks for your reply,

We are using a wildcard certificate and the connection is verified as secure according to the mobile browser. The devices are connecting via Wifi which is directly connected to the coporate LAN. They are even using the same IP-range.

Connecting to the WebClient instance via mobile Chrome is possible. I get a prompt to switch to the app but I can choose to continue in the browser and I can then navigate in the BC menu.
I added two screenshots.

RE: Android app stuck on connecting

    Hello,

Are you using a trusted certificate or a self signed certificate. Are the Android devices connecting via WiFi via the corporate LAN or via other ways over the Internet?

Can the Android devices connect to the WebClient instances via Chrome browser (you may have to enable "Desktop site" so that you avoid that Chrome tries to connect via the App (which does not seem to work here).

    Thanks.
