Export address data in CSV

Hi,

While exporting free text invoices in CSV format, address field is being split into multiple cells due to commas, since this is a free text invoice entity (set based) I’m wondering if there is a way to handle in code? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Additionally, we checked ‘prevent upload when zero records’ during recurring schedule configuration in data management, however we observed that project executes even when there are no records? (Standard free text invoice entity)

Thanks !

    Hi CU21052024-0,

    A few questions:
    1. Have you tried an excel export using the free text invoice entity and do you see the same behaviour?
    2. Have you tried the csv- unicode export option for exporting the free text invoice entity?

    Suggestions:
The reason you see the address splitting into multiple lines after the commas is because of the comma delimiter that splits the line into multiple lines of text so when you add a (,) in the address field the system thinks it a delimiter and splits it into multiple lines. Hence, the question of excel export using free text invoice entity.

To answer the second question, if you still see the export job running on selecting "Prevent upload when zero records" then you can turn off the recurring integration, then again turn on the toggle "Prevent uploads when zero records" and again re-setup the recurring integration to run. It should work. If its still coming up with issues then check if this option is turned on in Azure Logic Apps (if you are using Logic Apps).

You can set each column with double quote "DoorNO,StreetName,City,Country" Please try to use the double quote for each column this will resolve your issue in CSV export & import as well.

    Hi,

Please try exporting the data to Excel to see if the behavior persists. If it does, the issue may be related to your system’s delimiter settings.

You can also adjust the column delimiter in Data Management:

    • Go to Data Management > Configure data source > CSV

    • Set the appropriate Row delimiter and Column delimiter (e.g., comma, semicolon, tab, or vertical bar)

    Hi,

Can you tell more details about the export? What settings do you have for CSV in the data source format? Is the issue with the export or within the import of the file in another application?
