Duplicate Cust records in SO but not in HQ

Posted on by 25

When a new customer is created in SO and a 401 is run the customer is established in HQ properly.  After the next 401 I am finding an additional customer record in SO with all the same info including HQID.  The only decernable difference is the internal ID in the record, and when you look at the purchase history for the customer, the 2nd record does not show any since the trans record points to the Cust.id.

The environment is RMS 2.0 SP4 .  I have 7 SO and seeing at all.  Any thoughts to root cause, dignosis approach, or how to correct would be greatly appreaciated.

Thanks,

Tom

    Jeff,

All of the SO systems are running the same level of RMS.  One of the SO systems had the PC it was running on upgraded replacing the HD and going from XP to 7.  In the process of  that being done, the HQ client on that system was initially incorrectly configured causing the HQ DB to have bad data.  A restore of the HQ database was done from a backup about 3 weeks old.  Items lost during that timeframe were recreated leaving this problem now.

    Thanks,

    Tom

    Tom,

I would run a re-index and a database check at all stores and HQ in SO/HQ Admin.  Backup First!!

Are the AccountOpened fields the same too?

    Running any add-ons?

All machines in all stores are running the same version of RMS?

If any add-ons, are they the same versions?  Can you tell when this started?
