Good Day

My user gets the following error when submitting an invoice:

Cannot edit a record in Vendor invoice lines(VendInvoiceInfoLine).The record has never been selected.

Microsoft.Dynamics.Ax.Xpp.ErrorException: Exception of type "Microsoft.Dynamics.Ax.Xpp.ErrorException" was thrown. atMicrosoft.Dynamics.Ax.MSIL.Interop.throwException(Int32 ExceptionValue) at Microsoft.Dynamics.Ax.MSIL.cqlCursorIL.update

    Hi AngelAX,

    When do you get this error exactly?

    When you submit the invoice to a workflow?

    If so, what workflow do you use?

    Have you tried deleting and re-entering the invoice?

    Make sure you have no customizations interfering with the posting process since this errors are coming if you mess around with the record buffers in code or if a forUpdate/selectForUpdate was not explicitly called, and you must be on the latest AX application and kernel version (AX 2012 R3 CU12 + July hotfix update) since they might contain hotfixes for your issue.

    Also broken or corrupt data may prevent postings as explained in this article:
