I want to migrate on hand inventory to a newly set up company in D365. Preferably, i would like to use a counting journal or inventory adjustment. The problem is that i have 8000 lines and dont want to do this manually in D365, i want to use the excel add in function. I can open counting journal lines in Excel and update, but i cannot add cost to the lines. In the inventory adjustment journal the cost is easier to add to the line, but i can't find a way to open inventory adjustment lines in Excel.
So my question is: Is there a journal (or entity) that i can open in Excel, where i can add cost, location and batch?
Hi Satish,
Thank you! This works perfectly
Hi Halvard Usrin,
Please use entity "Inventory movement journal headers and lines" to import the on-hand inventory. You should be able to enter all the details here.
Agree that entering 8000 lines manually doesn't make sense. Instead of opening in excel, leverage data management workspace and import the excel from there.
