Sales category in sales quotation

Hello everyone,

I am experiencing an issue with creating a sales quotation in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management. According to the documentation on this page (Create and edit sales quotations - Supply Chain Management | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn), it is possible to create a quotation without registering the item, as long as a category is registered. However, despite having a category registered, I am unable to select it in the quotation.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? What steps can I take to resolve it?

Hi!
Please check that you have correct role associations for categories. Go to Product information management - Setup - Categories and attributes - Category hierarchy role associations. In thes form you have to set up ssociation for the Sales Category hierarchy:

Then check that there are categories in this hierarchy. Go to Product information management - Setup - Categories and attributes - Category hierarchies and click there to the appropriate category (from the previous step):

System will show you the category hierarchy:

If everything correct, then you'll see the same hieararcgy of ctegories in the Sales quotation line:
