Hi All,
I have to migrate all project related transactions from Ax 2009 to D 365 FO. Could anyone provide some link which can provide insight on this. What are those points we must need to take care of in executing the migration and what should be approach in the case of fixed price project ( percentage of completion with Profit and Loss set up on transactions)
Regards
SK1
Hi SK1,
I don't know a migration path that would automatically take over your AX2009 project module data into D365FO.
D365FO ships with a project beginning balance journal that you can use.
Have you already tried using that journal?
Best regards,
Ludwig
Hi Mr Ludwig
Thanks for your reply. I know about beginning balance Journal. Just wanted to check about fixed price project , because just uploading the transactions through beginning balance journal is not enough.
Right.
Yet, as I said I am not aware of any migration plan for AX2009.
Things have changed a lot in D365FO.
Also, is it that you want to use the F&O project module functionalities or have you thought about using the new Project Operations function?
We are using FO Project module functionality.
Hi Sk,
Thanks for the question.
Beginning balance journals are recommend for data migration and can be used for Fixed price and T&M projects. Can you please let me know what other functions you are trying to accomplish for Fixed price projects and are not supported by beginning balance journals.
We can review your response and suggest.
Thanks,
Satya Teki
