Hello Community,
My understanding when it comes to configuring/customizing entity forms in Dynamics 365 (Customer Engagement apps) for the mobile app is that the mobile app will essentially leverage the same forms in the web client using the responsive design of the Unified Interface. If we have a scenario where I set up 2 main forms on Account, 1 for the web client and the other for the mobile app (because I want to show less fields on the mobile app), and in the form order I have the web client form listed first followed by the mobile app form. If I do that, when I open the Account record on the mobile app, it will default to the web client form, and I would have to toggle the form selector to choose the mobile app form. This is extra click for the end user, and could be confusing or not intuitive.
Does anyone know if/how I could set it up, so that the system will default to the web client form when viewing on the browser, but default to the mobile app form when viewing on the mobile app? Is that possible?
Any insights are appreciated.
Thank you,
Eric
Hi Akash,
This is very helpful! Thank you very much!
Hi Partner,
With only one form, you can take advantage of the form element property to hide a certain area of the form from mobile if you want to.
This will hide certain fields and section on Mobile
Additionally, if you are Using UCI Interface you can also create a Model driven app for mobile hub and add the separate form and other components which will be available only for users using mobile hub App.
