the tax filing status record for tax code OH for status cannot be read

We are getting the following error on a company based in OH.  They have been on GP PR for some time.   How can I tell which employee is causing the issue.

"The tax filing status record for tax code OH for status cannot be read. Paychecks cannot be calculated"

    Hi Brenda,

    Do you have access to SQL Management Studio? If so, you can run this query:

    SELECT DISTINCT U.EMPLOYID,BACHNUMB,UPRTRXCD,U.STATECD,'STATE STATUS MISSING'STATEFGSTS

    FROM

    UPR10302 U INNER JOIN UPR00300 T ON U.EMPLOYID = T.EMPLOYID AND U.STATECD = T.STATECD

    LEFT OUTER JOIN UPR00700 S ON U.EMPLOYID = S.EMPLOYID AND U.STATECD = S.STATECD AND INACTIVE = 0

    WHERE

    U.STATECD <> ''

    and UPRTRXCD <> 'FTRNS'

    and COMPTRTP = '1'

    AND (RTRIM(LTRIM(S.STATECD))+RTRIM(LTRIM(S.TXFLGSTS))NOT IN

    (SELECT DISTINCT RTRIM(LTRIM(TAXCODE)) + RTRIM(LTRIM(TXFLGSTS))  from DYNAMICS..UPR41301))

    Hello,

    We are getting the exact same error. The script did not do anything. Is there any solution? Any help is appreciated.

    As far as I know, there's only one filing status in GP for OH..."Not Applicable."  Therefore, I would run this script to see if there are any employees that are on the state tax assignment table with something other than this:

    select * from UPR00700 where STATECD='OH' and TXFLGSTS<>'NA'

    If there are any records returned, I would run a script to change the code to 'NA' for any that appear and try again.
