I currently work for a company which intends to migrate from CRM 2011 On Premise to CRM Dynamics 365 Online. Obviously we have access to our On premise instance database. We use the audit history table (New Value, Old Value) to monitor changes and hence via SSRS generate reports for our clients. When migrating to CRM online we will not have direct access to the Database so we are intending to use the add on Data Export solution to create a replica Database in azure to generate reports via Power or SSRS. I would be grateful if anybody has any feedback on this proposed approach as I am sure many organisations are in a similar position. Is the sync lag an issue? Has anybody used Power BI on the audit history table? All input is appreciated.
