Open in Office/Excel errors, and solution

We have had a user in our system with the following error, when he was trying to upload general journals through the 'Open in Office (Excel)' feature:

Could not schedule SetValue for property TransDate: update access to property not granted

This error popped up, were we were thinking no changes were made to the system.

Solution
The roles assigned to our user accounts are limited by assigning organizations to them. These organizations have the entities linked to them in our case. What caused that error was that we moved a specific entity from the organization e.g. hierarchy which is connected to his Accountant role (needed for general journal and excel), to another hierarchy. And on his user account, 'Company' field was actually set to this entity that we moved.

For some reason the system looks at that field with regards to access. So I set the Company field on the user account to an active entity, which is part of the organization e.g. hierarchy which is also attached to his Accountant role, which fixed the issue.

Note; this post is to share the solution, as I can imagine others have the same issue and its quite hard to find (similar issue possibly, https://community.dynamics.com/forums/thread/details/?threadid=b8f9e949-da6a-4f0e-a26e-a8ca78043933).
