Unable to confirm a PO from a PR Due to Error

I have seen this error as well from time to time. It does not happen with any frequency so it is difficult to track down, but I would like to know if anyone has a solution for this error?

PO was created from PR. PO was approved through workflow. All financial dimensions are present on all PO lines and budget check was successful.

"The source document lines cannot be finalized until the status is Confirmed."

"The state of the source document or source document line could not be updated."

"An error occurred during update."

    Hey Vittorio,

    Sorry, I am still unable to find the actual cause, Actually after the issue resolved we never faced it again at least till this time. So it was kind of sidelined due to other more priority tasks.

    In fact if you find something about the cause then kindly share with me it will be a great help.

    Hey Jahan,

    I'm having the same issue and i'm really struggling to understand how the TaxUncommitted record, related to PurchReqLine record, could end up having it's SourceDocumentLine record with AccountingStatus field not in "Completed" state upon Purch Requisition Approval. Did you find out the reason?

    Well I figured it out,

    In my case the problem was with purchase requisition not purchase order. When I checked source document lines of the purchase requisition some of them were not in "Completed" state. That was the problem because upon confirming the purchase order system finalizes the requisition and it can only be finalized if it is in completed state.

    Therefore I updated status of those lines to "Completed" and Voila ! purchase order confirmed :) As far as how these lines ended up like this I am working on it and will share as soon as I find something useful.

    Hope that will help someone facing this issue.

    Note: I am not disregarding any of the suggestions and solutions given in this thread earlier but adding one more. Because this problem can arise from multiple reasons some of them are solved by solutions given earlier. But those didn't applied to my case so when I discovered what was wrong in my case I thought it will be worthy to share.

    I am having exactly same issue I have also checked orphan source document lines as suggested by the referred post but found no orphan source document lines. Its strange.

    Do you found the solution? If yes please share your finding it will be really helpful to all.

    This seems to be a bug in source document feature of AX 2012 and you can get solution from the link which Ramy suggested. Jonathan explained resolution there.

    Try to run a CIL compile else Try to debug it.
