ACIE with average cost run very slow

Hi Experts

I'm a consultant of Tectura. Our customer Carlsberg China use NAV2013 build 7.0.36207.0 and they run ACIE with average cost once a month.  It will take more than ten hours ro run the report 795 Adjust Cost - Item Entries, although it run successfully, our customer is unsatified with the performance.

I have checked there are no customerized codeings on standard ACIE function. Costing Method is Average Cost. and there are almost 50000 new records in table 32 item ledger entry each month.

Is there any way to improve the performance?

    If you use average costing method, ACIE will be slower. It depends of entry numbers, but this is a fact.

    Are you use manufacturing and if answer is yes, are you use average method for finish goods or not?

    If this is so, you have a big problem. Basic recommendation in implementation process is "Never use average costing method for finish goods". You can try something with database optimization, but I doubt you can do something much better.

    If you still can, try to change costing method, at least for finish goods. Try to change to FIFO or Standard. With 50000 new entries, I'm not sure how it can work with average method.
