Hi All,

I am migrating BC 19 demo DB On prem to BC Online 20.

Getting very strange error down the way. I have already migrated BC 18 to another instance from the same server.

The server timed out while attempting to connect to the specified SQL server. The call to prepare servers failed. Run id='df2a2f55-ea8d-44a0-a323-8cf95e886a6b', Name='msneua5672t54849097_Preparation',

ErrorMessage='Operation on target GetSourceBCVersion failed: Activity timed out' .

Hello Rehan - I would recommend opening a support ticket with Microsoft to investigate the issue.

Hi @Aske Holst,

Yes I have sorted out the issue. You have to fix at the SQL connection string. BC SAAS is not able to connect with the target VM.

I was using the public IP (40.113.111.82) of the host machine. Infect I have to use the Internal IPv4 address.

"Server=10.0.0.4;Database=BC19_demo_db;User Id=sa;Password=myVMtest;"
