moving a client from one database (licence) to a new one

Hello,
We are an accounting office and have a client booked on our databank. Now the client has his own licence and would like to use the client with all bookings etc. at his office.
Is it possible to move from one database to another with a complete data backup?

If you are on Business Central OnPrem you can move a database using database backup / restore.

If you are in BC online the move is a bit more complicated.

But if you have several other companies in the same database you might not want to give your customer the whole database.

So you also have the option to copy only one company.

But if you are uncertain you should contact a partner and have them assist you with this operation to make sure it is done correct.

Just to add some information. Microsoft planned to release the following function in the 2023 release wave 1 plan, but it was removed last week, and the page can no longer be found. It should be possible if the function below is released.........
