New company 'locked by another user'?

Hi

I am in the trial period and I created another company a while ago to test something. But now when I try and interact with it I am no longer able to do anything - if I try and rename or delete the company I get this error:

The operation could not complete because a record in the Account. Period table was locked by another user. Please retry the activity.

I also get the error when attempting to change company from Cronus to this test company - I can no longer access it.

I don't know what is going on because the record cannot be locked by another user - I know that I am the only user currently on the system.

Can anyone help?

    Could also be...   /?company=CRONUS%20USA,%20Inc.&

You can typically change your company by appending the following onto the end of the URL, after the tenant guid…   /?company=CRONUS%20US&

Depends on what company name you actually have though.

Thanks for the Reply Chris, below is screen shot when I start BC. I do have multiply companies set up there, it remember my last choice and doesn't even give me opportunity to choose other company, so I am kind stucked here.

    Thanks,

    Ray

    Hello,

I'm not sure, but if you can give me some more information I may be able to help.  What error are you seeing when you attempt to log in?  Please either provide a screenshot or the exact verbatim error.

    Thanks,

    Chris

Hi Chris, I ran into a similar situation. I try to create a company in Business Central, the setup was being cutoff and it kicked me out. When I tried to log back in, it gave me a blue screen and didn't even give me a chance to switch companies. What kind backend intervention you done to fix Katrina's issue above? Thanks.

This issue was resolved offline and required backend intervention.  It was the result of a failed company rename.

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Hello,

Please confirm that you have SUPER with No Company specified.  The no company specified is the important piece that most people miss.

Could you also Private Message me your tenant (URL you use to access Financials).

    Thanks,

    Chris
