Where Do you go to configure the import file?
I believe you're looking for the 'Data Exchange Definitions' window.

You can view and export the existing\default layouts from that window.

Perfect!!! exactly what I was looking for!!!
so now my issue is that everything is importing with a tran date in January...... 02/05/2017 --> imports as 01/05/2017
found the issue instructions have date format mm/dd/yyyy format should be M/d/yyyy
