Hello,
I'm looking for a way to hide amounts from some entries based specific criteria , for example in the journal lines i need all accountants to see the whole details except the lines which has worker dimension to be converted to ***** insetad of showing the amounts , also the same requirement in the pay statement list page

I don't think this can be achieved with DataSource bound control. However, this can be achieved if it's an unbound control.
For reference you can refer to System administration >> Data management >> Configure entity export to database (Tile) >> Click on New button >> Enter Source name field >> Under configure tab you will have option to give connection string which will show *** values.
I think that is also a unbound control which is edit method. So, this will be possible if it's an unbound control.

It would require a customization where you can use an edit or display method which will, based on conditions, return the actual amount or not. Instead of trying to hide some amounts only, have you considered hiding the complete records? In that case, you can use XDS for record level security.
