Hi,
I am setting up Integration Manager to integrate inventory transactions.
I receive the above message for all transactions where the quantity exceeds 9,999,999 units. The integration works for all transactions where quantity is less than 9,999,999 units.
I've tried amending the formatting of the quantity column in the source file to no avail.
Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
The inventory quantity field in GP does allow for 14 characters, so it can't be the length (i.e.: 13,000,000 units is less than 14 characters).
Thanks, Robert

Hi sk411, have you read the solution above on 15 Sep 2010 (wow 5 years ago) which allows quantities to be integrated up to 12 characters in length i.e.: 999,999,999,999 items. If you have quantities above this amount, then I'm afraid I don't think there is a solution currently.
I am having the same issue. Is there a resolution or just the work around of bringing in less quantity?
Sorry I meant max is 12 characters i.e.: 999,999,999,999 OR -99,999,999,999
Hi All,
So I solved the problem.
Integration Manager recognises the Inventory quantity field of your source file as having 5 decimal places (even if your source file quantity field is set to 0 decimal places).
To fix the problem:
Your integration should now work for all quantities up to a max of 14 characters i.e.: 99,999,999,999,999 units or
-9,999,999,999,999 units. Hopefully you don't need to integrate more inventory units than this. :-)
Thanks,
Robert
Hi Everyone,
Does anyone have any suggestions regarding this error.
I have further checked that for each inventory item card, the quantity decimals field is set to 0.
I am able to manually enter an inventory transaction entry purchasing 13,000,000 units. It is only when I try to integrate, the integration fails.
Kind regards,
Robert
Hi Richard,
Thanks for your swift response.
In my Inventory Control setup window the Default Decimal Places for Quantities = 0.
In my Integration source file, I do not have decimal places in the quantities column.
Is there somewhere else in GP / IM that affects the decimal places for transaction quantities?
Kind regards, Robert
And how many decimal places are you using? 8 to the left and 5 to the right of the decimal account for 13 characters. Save one for the sign and there you are.
