I understand there are some differences between a sales return order and a sales credit memo in the ability to track and receive the inventory from a sales return much like a purchase order. My question is if both are used, do you send both documents to a customer, or just the credit memo as that is the one that is created for both documents? (i.e. create the sales return order, post it, then send the credit memo?) Thoughts/recommendations?
