Hi,

I have posted the sales order with line item quantity 2 then the line  item quantity for master  is not reduced in the case of assembly BOMS.....But the childs quantity is reduced?

After posting the order where can we see the assembly BOMS order in nav 2013r2?

Thank you

it's needed that you set "qty. to assemble to order" in the sales line also to 2. only with that an assembly order is created.

when posting the sales order, this assembly order ist also posted and the inventory qty. of the child items (from the assembly bom) is also reduced according to the defined quantity in the assembly bom.

When you post the Sales Order NAV automatically post the assembly order for you. You can check the posted assembly orders by navigating to "Departments/Warehouse/Assembly/Posted Assembly Orders"

I have posted same answer in several threads of you.

In the item card under the replenishment tab you will be able to find a field called "Assembly Policy".

In that check what is the method you have used.

If you have used the method of "Assemble-to-Stock" then at the time of sales system will reduce the quantity from your current stock without assemble the item (reduce the quantity of your assembled items).

If you have set the "Assemble-to-Order" then system will assemble the item even the item is available in the inventory.
