ITC/Cost for Section 179 Fixed Assets GP 2010sp3

I'm trying to add section 179 expenses to FA cards. 

To create an asset book ITC record:

 

1. Open the Asset Book window.

(Cards >> Fixed Assets >> Book)

2. Enter or select an asset ID and suffix and select a book ID.

3. Choose ITC/Cost to open the Asset Book ITC window.

I cannot find the ITC/Cost  option to open the Asset Book ITC window.

Please help,

    Hi,

    In the Asset Book screen on GP2010 there is a Button at the bottom right with a label in it that reads "ITC/cost" the window it self is called "Asset Book ITC". If you can't see it I would suggest maybe checking your security.

    Let me know how you get on with this and if you still have a problem finding the window. You could also add the window t your shortcuts in your navigation screen.

    I am logged in as SA. Here's a screen shot of the Asset Book.  No ITC/Cost button

    I found the ITC/Cost button in the inquirey screen but assets information is not populated.

    There are two reasons why the ITC/Cost button would be missing normally:

    1. The asset book has not yet been saved. In this case the button says Distributions. Once you save it switches to ITC/Cost

    2. You have Field Security on the window to hide the button
