Go to Advanced Find and click New. select Notes from the entity list. In the rules for the view, select the related entity (Case) - case should contain data. This view shows all Notes relating to a case. Hit the Export button and you're done. Leon Tribe Want to hear me talk about all things CRM? Check out my blog http://leontribe.blogspot.com/

I should have been more specific.  Sorry.  I need to export notes that belong to cases.  I need to include the case number with the notes.

I also need Account notes that will include the account number and account name.

    Are either of these possible?

    Thanks!

When you set up the view you can display columns of related entities i.e. case number so this shouldn't be a problem. Leon Tribe Want to hear me talk about all things CRM? Check out my blog http://leontribe.blogspot.com/

I don't see where the note is an available column when viewing cases and the cases is not available when viewing notes.   Notes has very few options when adding columns.   I have tried every possibility I can think of.

    Thanks!

If its v4, when you go to add columns to the Advanced Find search, you can drop down Notes to select the related entities i.e. the owning Case. If its v3, you'll need to hack the Excel query. First I have to have the Adv Find correct.  This is what I am trying.  I open Cases filtered on All Cases, click on Adv Find, It auto populates Look For with Cases, then I click on Show Details and under Related click on Notes (Regarding).  I chose all columns that are available.  Click Find.  Then I go to Export to Excel - Dynamic Worksheet, on cell A2 click edit query.  Is the Work Completed field supposed to be the Note???

Thanks for all your help - it is greatly appreciated!

    Follow my instruction below:

    1. Goto Advanced find--> Select 'Notes' in 'Look for' field

    2. Click on Dropdown and select 'regarding (case) as related entity.

    3. Give your filters

    4. Now Click on Edit columns....for now you will only fields related to 'Notes'. So click on 'Add columns' and in 'Record type' select regarding (case).

    5. Select whatever columns you want in case filed.

    6. Once you run the query, export and open the excel file you will find the notes as Description columns.

Hope this helps you. Let me know if i am not in sync with your request.
