So I'm trying to add a sales person under the business management menu. When I click add new, I get an add and license users menu. My user is already licensed, so I'm not really sure where to go from here to add him as a sales guy. Any help would be appreciated.

So that's a whole different process.
Do you have quotas and goals set up in the system? Do you have his manager set up? Have you added him to any goals yet?
These are all parts of the system that need to be configured according to your business process, and he'll need ones created specifically for him. CRM doesn't just "make quotas" for anyone with a Sales security role.

Thanks for the advice. I added the role. When I went back, he still didn't show up as a salesperson with a quota - since he doesn't have one yet. Where can I do this? Thanks so much!
On his user record in CRM, there should be a Roles button. click there and click Add Roles. then give him the Salesperson role and he will have permission to use the Sales parts of Dynamics CRM.
