Minimum Client Workstation Specs for GP v10

We are getting ready to upgrade to GP V10 from v9.  Microsofts reported minimum PC specs are a little high in my opinion.  Rather than arbitrarilly swapping out PC's I wanted to find out some 'real world' experience from the Dynamics Community.  What is the least PC Workstation specifics for Processor and RAM that you are running GPv10 on?

    Mike,

Currently, our weakest client machine has an Intel processor at 2593 Mhz with 512 Mb of RAM.  I am glad I do not have to work on that machine.  It currently is used by a part time employee.  If you plan to use older clients make sure the operating system is supported.  I think the lowest operating system supported by v10 is XP pro.

No,....you need at least 1G ram and then it will run slow....did I say slow?  Let me repeat....SLOW.

Recommended decent run memory is 2 Gig which is not robust in today's environment.

    A 1.6 Gig processor will work, I run on a 2.2.

thank you for the fast response.

What are the specs of your "Least" performing PC at this point, processor (example Pentium IV) speed (example 1.6 Ghz) and memory (example 512 MB)

    Mike,

We upgraded from v9 to v10 last year without upgrading any client workstations.  The most immediate impact was that v10 was very much slower than v9.  GP v10 is a real resource hog.  We often have many Excel spreadsheets open as well as GP v10 and the whole machine is slow.  We upgraded the RAM in those clients that had open slots and that helped some.  Over the past year we have been slowly swapping out the older clients for newer more powerful clients.
