65As I have understood from the documentations of product configurator, the configuration reuse (when set to yes), is supposed to generate a new configuration ID, if there is no existing config ID with the selected combination of attribute values.
But if the selected attribute values match with any of the existing config ID, then a new config ID will not be generated but that existing one will get selected on sales line. This is failing in my testing. I am always getting the same config ID (and the same BOM) on the sales line, irrespective of the attribute values I select.
I have used the reset configuration reuse button also, but that simply generates new config ID, without searching from the existing combination of attribute values.
The product configurator doesn't seem to fullfill the purpose if it is not able to search from the existing config's. Am I missing any setup, which can make the configurator generate new config ID only when new combinations of attribute values are selected. And if exiting combination values are selected then auto populate the right config ID on sales line. Please suggest.
