Email dialogue box for sending purchase orders

Hello.

We are on AX 2012 R2. Currently after we approve a requisition, it automatically sends to the Vendor via the print management/email setting. Is it possible to create within AX a dialogue or message box that pops up after approving the requisition, that way instead of immediately sending a PO, we can write a short email message to the Vendor and also cc : the requestor of the PO? The reason this would be important is because often times we have to adjust a PO and resend, but the Vendor receives the PO straight from the system and does not realize it's just an adjustment, and processes as an additional order, or similar scenarios. Is it possible to even have it connect to Outlook and populate the message box there to add content to a message before the PO is sent to the vendor? We just want to be able to add a message when email the PO to the vendor. This was all possible in a different ERP system I have worked with (Plex).

Hi AlmetaR,

This is standard not possible. You can consider a workaround by adding notes and print them on the PO itself. Also it is possible to customize the report that it would be very visible that it concerns an amendment if the version number is 2 or higher.

To have an additional dialog or edit option for the email body, you need to customize AX.
