Multiple invoices to one PDF file

Hi Guys,

I have an issue with printing more than one sales invoice to one PDF file.

When I'm marking few invoice records in invoice journal form, and want to print copy/originals, I'm getting many PDF files, one for each invoice.

I would like to get one PDF file.

Is there any built-in standard solution in AX 2012?

Maybe quick adjusting of standard code to do?

I found just some external dll to use, to merge created files, but this is not what I'd like to use...I think.

Regards

Piotr

Using standard ax there is only one way that is post invoices as summary, but that would change the way invoices are posted.

Else, the better solution is to customize the report, which is of course expensive but good solution.

Thank you Sohaib for your answer.

We can't change the way how we are posting invoices. We would like just to reprint old invoices (let's say posted during a year) to one PDF.

Customization of report is of course possible, but I was wondering is there any possible standard solution, or quick customisation to general processing of AX reports which may be useful.

Sales invoice is just an example. We have plenty of report which we would like to print just as one PDF, not as many PDF's

It varies from report to report.

Let suppose if we talk about General Journal printout, there is possibility to take printout of all journals in one PDF.

But if we talk for reports like Sales Invoice or Customer External Account Statement, we need customization of such report.

Such reports e.g. most of control documents have been designed by Microsoft in way that those are supposed to be printed per document number and per customer in a separate PDF.

What you are looking for is something in next URL.

It sounds like you're doing some type of archiving?

If that's true, let me know.  I can give you some examples of combining PDF's together into a single PDF in X++, and then some more examples of printing directly to PDF in X++, and then in theory you could combine those into a loop and create a single PDF for all customer invoices posted within a single year, for example, without too much trouble.

The code to print an SSRS report to PDF in X++ is different between a form letter document, i.e. Print management report, and a standard report.

    Brandon,

I have a similar requirement where the collections department wants to look in the Customer Invoice Journal and select multiple invoices. They want all of those invoices to be printed to one PDF file to sent as an email.

Do you still happen to have X++ code that would accomplish something along these lines?

Thanks in advance for any insight on this!
