Migrating from Dynamics AX 2012 to D365 Project Operations

Hi,

I have one customer that currently using Dynamics AX 2012 (AX) and in this AX they're using the project and accounting module. Now, they want to upgrade their AX to D365 Finance (for accounting part) and D365 Project Operations (for the project).

I'm wondering, can we upgrade from AX to D365 Project Operations? The reason why I ask this is because our customer wants to bring their project historical data to D365 project operations.

Hi Billur,

Actually, we know how to upgrade from AX to D365 Finance & Operations. But we don't know whether the project module in AX can be upgraded to D365 Project Operations yet. My customer wants to retain their data (projects) in AX and carries it to the D365PO.

Do you know how to do it?

Hi, yes you can, you would treat as a data migration project to migrate the balances/wip for projects that are inflight. Its a complicated beast, there is a tech talk to guide you.
