Procurement category not available for a Replenishment purchase requsition

Hello All,

I am testing a purchase requisition with purpose replenishment and I don t have the option to choose a Procurement category - the field is not active

If I select the Consumption purpose, Procurement category is active and mandatory

I did all the necessary configurations in Purchasing policies and added the procurement category to the Replenishment category access policy rule.

What am I missing here if I want to create a PR for replenishment using a procurement category and not an item?

Hi,

This article discusses whether and under what circumstances the procurement category field is mandatory when purchasing a requisition, and where to select if the “Procurement Category” is mandatory or not. Although this is about AX 2012, I think this article is equally applicable to Dynamics 365 F&O. Hi, please check if the category hierarchy is assigned, then check if you have any category directives configured and then publish the catalog

A Replenishment requisition is intended to be used with Items, so you must select an Item (which will cause the Category to be populated automatically).
