Unable to edit the Product description for Released Products

I am Unable to edit product description for Released Products other than using Translation Form

Give me Best suggestions

of course changing it from translation from is proper way, which you have to manually change description of product/item

How you want it? what issue you are facing while doing it in this way?

I want to Edit/update the Productdescription whenever i click on edit in released products.I am able to edit it but it is not saving.

You cannot change the Product description directly by editing the 'Description' field on the Released products form. Released products (Items) do not have a Description of their own. They have the Description of the Product which they are related to, and the Product Description has to be associated to a language.

You can change the product description from the 'Products' form (AX updates the description in your language), or you can change it from the Released products from by clicking the 'Translations' button.

in standard AX the DataSource is set as AlloEdit=No for 'released products'

This is because EcoResProductTranslation is designed to accommodate Description of products in multiple languages.

already there is OuterJoin between EcoResProductTranslation and EcoResProduct on this form and query is being modified at runtime to load translation into user/system language.

because of Data model of the Product Management, Microsoft has kept it separately, to update the product translation.

Better try to ask user do 1 more click and go through proper way

I amended and saved the Product description in the 'Product's from however when a quotation was created the Product Name came through on the quotation not the Product description. Does a setting need to be changed?
