How to register multiple PO lines at RECV location in one go?

Hi,

I am using advanced warehouse and I receive multiple goods against multiple PO, I am using load planning workbench and item arrival journal to receive multiple POs together. Each PO having 100s of PO lines so when I receive it at RECV location in my warehouse, I have to scan each line by line to register the goods at RECV location. As a warehouse worker, I want to register/receive all the items at RECV location in one go without entering 100s of times.

Is there a way to achieve in FnO?

Hi Kumar,

When you use the Arrival Overview and arrival journal, posting the journal is actually doing the Registration so no further need of mobile device to register. If you do it that way, when you post you have 100s items registered in locations used in the journal (RECV or other) all at once; and on the Journal header, you can post the Product Receipt. Because receiving this way does not create work, pu taway work can only be created using Move by Template work creation process.

When you receive with the mobile, you have a few mobile device menu items available to you: PO receiving, Load receiving, etc. Using these menu items, you have no choice but to scan each items individually. However, there is another option (License Plate receiving) which allows you to receive a License Plate with its entire content (often referred to as an Advance Shipping Notice). License Plate receiving is also used to receive a transfer order that was shipped from a warehouse enabled for warehouse processes.

Given that you are using Load Planning and therefore likely creating Inbound Loads, its not that difficult to create a Packing Structure where you add all the items to be received unto a License Plate available for License Plate Receiving Process. If you are proficient with data management, you can even use Excel Add-in to make it easier. I used it for a customer to receive an entire truck load without emptying the truck. You would only do this if you trust that your vendor will send you what they said they are sending you.

To create a ASN manually, from the Inbound Load you would go to 'Packing Structure'

In that Packing Structure, you can create a Parent LP in the 'Pallets' FastTab (the ASN that will be scanned on the mobile). In the 'Cases' section, you can add your individual items (the 100s of PO lines).

To receive, you will need a Mobile Device Menu Item for 'License Plate Receiving'. When you receive with that menu item, you scan or enter the LP that is in the 'Pallets' section and all the items will be received at once. There is further configuration in the Location Directive to determine whether you want to use location to put-away the entire Licence Plate (likely not) or the individual items (the Locate By option on the Purchase Order type LocDir header):
