Counting Journal with Warehouse

Hello,

when we use counting journal in inventory management ,there is a problem when making counting journal for each warehouse. The problem is when an item exists in two warehouse and each warehouse keeper wants to count his warehouse. When an item is selected in counting journal 1 it shows the correct on hand inventory for that warehouse.In the second warehouse counting journal there is no on hand inventory for this item because this item exists in counting journal 1 for first warehouse.

Is there a way to create counting journals for each warehouse in parallel and have each journal showing the correct on hand inventory.

    Hi Mostafa,
    If you have same item in multiple locations/warehouses and you want to create multiple open counting journals at the same time you can temporary disable code in AOT for you to enable to do so.
    Go to AOT - Tables - InventItemLocationCountingStatus - methods - updateStartCounting ... and comment out last 3 lines of the code as shown below ... save the table.

    You should now be able to create same item in multiple counting journals for various locations. Make sure you do a test first in your non-production environment.

    If you create a record in the Warehouse items form for each Warehouse you wish to count each item in, you should be able to count your items simultaneously in different warehouses.

    Microsoft provide an update, but it only works on AX 2012 R3.

    So I tried this solution and this one work for me.  Amazing!
