Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello All, I need to grant a user access to the following two window, cards--payroll---employee--then from there: Employee Benefit Maintenance and Employee Deduction Maintenance window. I have tried many things but the option to click on the window is grayed out within the main employee card window. can someone help. Thank you

I found the answer from another post where you go to Tools -> System -> User , select the specific user and check the flag that says "Payroll view from Human Resources"

    It worked for me.

I'd like to apologize for my delay in response. After you put up the screenshot I see it's not security to the windows your having a problem with!

This one actually has a really easy fix as it's just a option in the user setup.

    1. Go to Microsoft Dynamics GP | Tools | Setup | System | User.

    2. Select the User ID of the user you want to change.

    3. Mark the Payroll View for Human Resources box and click Save.

    4. Have them close the employee maintenance window if it's open and then next time they open the window the two options will be available.

I would like to see the answer to this as well. Adal, the way I have gone around this has been simply to go to Cards > Employee Benefits and that gets you into the Benefits windows and similarly to Deductions a well.

    Hi Adal!

By default access to the Employee Maintenance window is granted by the "Card_0501*" task. Setup below if you need to add it to a new task.

For the Employee Benefit Maintenance window "CARD_0501*" and "CARD_0505*" grant access to the window by default.

If you have any other questions feel free to let me know!

    Joshua
