Hi, is it possible to customize the Marketing Website Tracking script in order to catch ecommerce sites events, like:

- Visited Product Page

- Add To Basket

and then create a custom interaction that can be used to create a marketing segment?

Thank you.

    Hi V Hacer,

those two requirements can be implemented like:

    - create separate website tracking script just for product pages / put it to product page

    - on site where we do have "AddBasket" utilize the website click event with additional filtering based on link name

but if there're custom tags (with custom dimensions) - i.e. you want to see event like AddBasket(Product=Office365 Subscription, Quantity=1) - Marketing doesn't have anything like that at the moment

We'd like to better understand your scenario, so that we can consider adding it in the future releases.

    Hi Kyu,

as far as I understand the UTM approach would bring data to Google Analytics, but our need is to have this data (ecommerce site viewed products, basket events, etc.) into Dynamics 365 Marketing, so we can use them in segmentation, customer journeys and email marketing.

In your experience can we extend the default Dynamics 365 tracking script in order to track the above events?

    thank you.

    Hi,

You could try UTM with Google analytics.
