Hi Guys,

I have just used "Cross company data sharing" for reference.

When i am about to add table , I am getting error as...

" Table INVENTTABLE is a Main table as specified by the table group and may not be shared unless its Data Sharing Type is Duplicate"

Is there is any way to add this?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi jenifer,

looking at the documentation (docs.microsoft.com/.../cross-company-data-sharing) you will notice that "Only reference and group data can be shared, or tables that have specifically been enabled. For example, Data Sharing Type is set to Duplicate."

This means that InventTable can't be shared.

    Hi Jenifer,

According to the documentation, only MS provided templates are supported and release product is not on the list.

    Also,

    >> Only reference and group data can be shared, or tables that have specifically been enabled. For example, Data Sharing Type is set to Duplicate.

InventTable has table group = Main and Data sharing type = None (can't be changed via extension)

By the way, products can be easily released via UI to many companies from Products form.

The only set of main tables that can be shared as of now are vendors and Customers. Apart from those 2 none of the main tables are enabled for data sharing as explained by peers on this. If you would like to have data published across companies, I would suggest explore Copy data across legal entities in the data management framework. The only down side of this is that you may have to the users in one company and have a batch job to copy data across companies from that single company.
