GP and Citrix and Process Monitor

I received a call from a GP user that see was not able to exit GP 2010 because processes were running. Checking Process Monitor she had about a dozen processes that were running. Half of them had something to do with AFA, then there was a voided check and then finally a payables batch posting. This user never does anything with AFA and she had not voided a check that day. My question is, in a Citrix environment, is there any way for GP processes to be shared amongst users? How did these processes get on her GP when she did not originate them?

Richard, I would wonder if on Citrix are all users not running the same software?  What is it that makes each instance different in the mind of the Process monitor.

I can see what Leslie is saying working with 10 on premiss desktops, but on Citrix, I would have thought that not possible.

    Richard,

This would be a real wild shot, but while teaching the Install & Config class I always went over how to set up a process server. One of the methods I used to teach it was to appeal to our mischievous ways and show how to set a co-workers machine up as a process server. As such, it would be processing jobs initiated by others on her machine, without her knowledge. Sneaky, huh.

So, you could check that if you think someone is crafty enough  to do it :)

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
