One of our inventory item maintenance window will not allow us to add a site to it. We are only having this issue on one item card. We have done a check link and other maintenance for system but still won't accept and save location. What do we need to do?

We are using Dynamics GP 2010 and have one item maintenance inventory card that will not allow us to add our main location site to it. We have the main location on all of our other inventory items and didn't have an issue adding site to them. Card will accept other site locations but not our main site. We have compared other item cards and can not see any difference between cards.We have done a maintenance on the system thinking it might be a temp file stuck but nothing helps.

Does anyone have any ideas or fixes?

Hi,

You might also use the SmartList for Item Quantities if you do not have access to the SQL Server. It's not as good as looking at the tables directly (via SQL), but it might show you some questionable items.

You would need to use SQL to check this table.

Select * from IV00102 where itemnmbr='enter your item number'

Thank you for using Community Forums. My name is Becky and I will assist you.

I would check what information is in the IV00102 for this item. This is the Quantity/Sites Master table. For each item there should be one record with a RCRDTYPE of 1. This line is to keep track of the total for all lines. These will be numerous records with a RCRDTYPE of 2. Each of these lines represent a site the item has been assigned to.

You can compare the records in this table for an item that is assigned to the site and for this items to see the difference.
