I was able to change ownership of Annotations (Notes) on records, but would like to display the Owner instead of Modified By on Forms with Notes

Posted on by 330

I recently had an issue where a record was Assigned to another user, which caused the Owner of all the Notes on the record to change to the new Owner as well. I was able to change the Relationship settings on Notes to prevent this in the future, and I was able to re-assign all affected notes back to the User that created them (Created By).

However, in doing so, the timestamps on all of the Notes now show my name, since the timestamps don't show the Owner of the Note, but rather the Modified By.

How can I change the timestamp display of Notes to show the Owner and the Date/Time the Note was created instead of the Modified By and the Date/Time?

We are using Dynamics 365 on-prem.

Thank you.

Note(Annotation) is a system entity and we can not customize system entities.

    Hi,

The notes control is not available for any customizations so you can't change this.

    Hope this helps.
