Account Balances Disappeared after year end close

We just closed 2014 in GP10 (accounting manager says the same way he always has) and the balances carried forward to the beginning balance of the following year.  However when I go to account history for 2014 all the gl detail transactions are there, but the account balance shows as Zero for every account despite the fact that the debits and credits obviously don't add up to zero.  All my FRx reports are showing zero balances for every account in 2014.  Please help.  what happened?

    Resolved via Tools-Utilities-Financial-Reconcile.  Got account balances back.
