Active Quotes with prices not keeping price on Order creation, but picking up price list edited price

CRM 2011  (5.0.9690.3236)

We created and activated Quotes that are using a Price List to determine the selling price of the items.

Some items have had the price list changed due to cost increases.

During the Create Order process while on one of these Quotes, the selling price on the Order is picking up the current price list selling price, and NOT the quote line item's price.

It is our understanding that the Active Quote to Order will maintain the Quote's price for each line item, and not have a process that gets the current price list selling price and replacing the Order Line Item price with that.

We need to understand what is causing this behavior and how to correct it.

I have tried to include a screenshot showing the quote and order prices, but for whatever reason the upload continues to fail.  I will try again once this item is submitted.

Thanks for your assistance,

Steve

By chance on the new Order - is someone hitting the "Use Current Pricing" button? The out of the box process should be bringing over the price from the Quote as it was listed. But if you choose to use the current pricing, it will update prices to match the current values in the Price List.

Thanks for the feedback, but no, the order price is set immediately upon the Create Order button from the Quote, even before users could click Use Current Pricing.

Is this still an open question or were you able to find an answer?

The order's IsPriceLocked default field value was set to Yes, and it needed to be set to No
