I have tried by checking the box next to Automatically delete completed workflow jobs.

Is the behavior of cleaning successful Workflow job logs is different in CRM 2016 onwards.

The async jobs will be automatically deleted by the system at a later time, to free up storage.

However, you can directly navigate to the Process Sessions of the workflow and manually delete them yourself.

Are you getting any error while trying to do the latter?

No I,m not getting any error.

In CRM 2011 ,Successful Workflow Job logs usually gets cleaned once the job is completed successfully whereas in CRM 2016  it gets delayed for sometime.

If it gets delayed for sometime then what is the purpose of providing check box for cleaning successful workflow logs on Entity Level.

As async job deletes the all successful workflow job logs available in the system and what if i want to delete logs for specific Entity which it

used to happen in CRM 2011

True, the system does not delete them immediately and does it at a later point.

I think the delay is rather beneficial, as a developer, i get some time to go and check the job. And do not have to toggle the 'automatically delete jobs' every time I am trouble shooting something.

Also want to know if system deletes the successful job after sometime even if "Automatically Delete Workflow Jobs on Successful" marked as Checked/Unchecked on Entity Level.
