enable cancel on reason for pay code adjustment not working

This is a minor thing, but has anyone using HR discovered a situation that, even after marking "enable cancel on reason for pay code adjustment" in HR Preferences, the Cancel button is dimmed out when they make a Pay Code adjustment, i.e. the preference isn't working? How do you rectify this?

Hi Matt,

Has the window been modified? Has someone set up field level security and disabled the cancel button?

No, window not modified, nor is Field Level Security being used
