You'll find further information here: community.dynamics.com/.../19311 (it's crm 4 but the difficulties may be similar)
But, as mentioned in that thread, depending on your needs, I'd recommend buliding a layer in between the PHP frontend and the CRM webservice for easier consumption and last but not least, improved security by limit data exposed to the frontend.
